How to make a fun Halloween party?

Halloween is a great time to throw a party! There are so many fun things you can do to make it an extra special event. Here are some ideas for Halloween party games, food, decorations and more.

Pick an Halloween invitation card

Halloween invitations card are the first step in planning your party. Pick an invitation that fits your theme and then write out the details. If you want to send them in the mail, use stamps instead of paying for expedited delivery. This will save you money and still get them there on time!

Start with a haunted house party

Have everyone dress up as a ghost or monster and have you make up their faces with black paint and white makeup. Make sure you have plenty of treats on hand for the trick-or-treaters!

Host a Halloween costume contest with prizes for the winner

Give each guest a number and let them make their own costumes using whatever materials you have around the house (paper plates, toilet paper rolls and so on). Then ask people to vote on their favorite Halloween costume by placing their number in an envelope at the end of the night. You can also give out prizes such as gift certificates to local stores or restaurants!

Appetizers

Appetizers are always a good idea when bringing food to a party. Make sure they're easy-to-eat finger foods like cheese and crackers or veggies with dip. Also try making some DIY popcorn bags using our printable template!

Drinks

You'll need something to drink! It's always nice to have an assortment of beers, wine and cocktails on hand in case people have different preferences. If it's a BYOB event, make sure to pick up some plastic cups so people can easily carry drinks around without having to worry about glass shattering or getting wet from spilled drinks.

Halloween party games

Your guests might want something fun to do while waiting for dinner to cook or between games of beer pong (yes, even adults play beer pong at parties). Try bringing along a deck of cards or playing cards so people can play poker or go fish or any other card game you think would be fun for this crowd.

A fun Halloween party game is the spoon race game. This is a simple game that can be played with just a few people or a larger group of people. The goal of the game is to see who can get their spoon from one end to another without touching the floor or running into anybody else's spoon.

The first thing you will need to do is put all of the spoons in a bowl, or on a table and cover them with something that will keep them hidden from sight (like a cloth or towel). Once you have done this, divide up your guests into two groups based on how many people you have invited over for the party. You can have one person per team or just let everyone choose their own spot on the team they want to be on. Let each team have three tries at getting their spoon from one end of the room to another without getting caught by an opponent's spoon.

Feast or Famine – Set out different kinds of food (candy, veggies etc.) in bowls around the room for people to pick from. Then hide all but one bowl full of candy somewhere in the room and have the guests figure out where it is by asking questions like "Is there candy nearby?" or "Is there candy behind me?". Once they find it they can eat all they want! But first they have to tell everyone what type of food each bowl held (for example "The first bowl had carrots in it").
